A timer that lives in your menu bar. Pull the frog’s tongue down — the further you pull, the longer the timer. Let go, name it, and it rings.
Try it. Press the frog and pull its tongue down.
Most timers want your attention.
tug just wants the menu bar.
Press the frog and drag down. Ten seconds to twelve hours on one curve, with a haptic tick at every stop. Let go at the top and nothing happens.
A small window opens under the frog. Type what it’s for and hit Enter. Esc cancels, so no timer gets made by accident.
A native notification, on time whether Tug is running or not. Snooze five or ten minutes straight from the banner.
Distance maps to time in five zones. Thirteen points between one minute and the next, forty between hours: fine control where you need it, big steps where you don’t.
Flip one switch when you name the timer. Tug runs the whole round, and tells you when to stop and when to start again.
Tea. Deploy. Oven. Standup. Tug holds them all, sorted by whatever fires next, and rings each one.
Skip the naming step: pull, release, and the timer is already running. Turn it on in the right-click menu, or hold ⇧ while pulling to flip modes for a single timer.
New timer from anywhere. Peek at the running ones from anywhere. Both rebindable.
Five, ten, twenty-five or sixty minutes without dragging. Instant Start lives here too.
Glance, don’t click. The soonest timer counts down right beside the frog.
Hold ⌥ and pull: the tongue turns gold and adds time to the timer closest to firing.
Fourteen completion sounds, Frog first, previewed as you pick. Or flash the screen for the headphones-off crowd.
VoiceOver reads every control, including what the frog is up to. Reduce Motion drops the spring and keeps the timer.
No account. No network. No analytics, no cloud, no third-party SDKs. Native SwiftUI and AppKit, sandboxed.
Seven originals and the Poison Dart collection, with palettes lifted from real dart frogs. Pick one, and every frog on this page changes with it.
And one more thing.
Move your cursor around. Hi.
The whole gesture, a Pomodoro round in time-lapse, and all eleven frogs. Every tick and thwip in the score was synthesised to land on the frame it belongs to.
“The execution is polished and Tug turns out to be both pleasant and useful.”

Press ⌃⌥G from anywhere, type the thing you’ll need in a bit, and hit return. Or press ⌃⌥V and just say it. A goldfish in your menu bar holds it for a few hours, then lets it go in a drift of gold dust. No archive, no guilt. Same care as Tug, and nothing leaves your Mac either.
